New Ministry to Refugees and Immigrants - Information & Awareness Meeting May 10th , 10:00 to 12:00 pm at our church. World Relief is an organization dedicated to helping refugees and immigrants and is one of the largest national organizations involved in this work. There are many such people in the Fox Valley in need of our help. World Relief offers our community opportunities for ministry, including provision of home goods, ESL volunteers, friendship partners, hosting the newly arrived, transportation, family counseling and many others. In order to introduce the organization and its work, and to tell us about the opportunities for ministry, we are hosting an information and awareness meeting at our church on May 10th, 10:00 - 12:00 pm . The meeting will include members of other churches in the Fox Valley who are also interested in working with World Relief. Those interested in attending please contact Barry Cottrell cottrellb[at]sbcglobal[dot]net

Love Flowers? - Sign up to serve on the Flower Guild. The 2008 chart is on the wall in the back entrance hall.

Join the Coffee Hour Team - Please sign up to share in the wonderful ministry of food and fellowship that is our Coffee Hour. When you sign up, you are signing up to help with setting up for and cleaning up after your chosen service, as well as providing delicious treats for all to share. This is especially important after the late service since few people remain for very long and dishes are often left to the "last man standing." When signing up, consider combining forces with another person/family/group. After all, many hands make light work! Add your name to the sign-up sheet in Ludtke Hall to make our coffee hours a true labor of love for all who partake.

We Need Your Time and Talent Please consider joining us once a month when we take our shifts at Hesed House from 11PM to 7 AM on the third Friday of the month. See the sheet in Ludke Hall or connect with Phil Dripps or Wink Bangs.

If you missed a week and want to know more information about the prayer requests, just look in the white binder labeled "Prayer Concerns" that is located just below the prayer board. There is also a new bulletin board in the corner that has our military information as well as blank letterhead for you to write a note to one of our military members.

Did we miss your birthday? If your name (or that of a family member) was not in the Prayers of the People on the week of your birthday it could be that we need information for our database. Please fill out a database form which can be found in the "Joining our Church Community" booklet on the table under the prayer board in Ludtke Hall and then put it in the offering plate or the office mail slot near the parlor. We don't want to miss your special day!

We will continue our prayers for those in the military, if you have a family member who is on active duty please call the office and we will add them to our list.
