Prayer Shawl Ministry
of
St. Charles' Episcopal Church!

The Prayer Shawl Ministry here at St. Charles' Episcopal Church was born in May of 2004. In it's present form it includes women of varying ages who have a love of the Lord and a gift for needlework. Knitters and crocheters have come together to share their talents and prayers by giving their creations to over 175 people. The souls who have received these shawls have; had babies; lost loved ones; been struggling with cancer or some other kind of illness; found new careers; or transitioned in life in some way. The shawls (and sometimes lap robes or afghans) were wrapped like hugs around those who needed to be wrapped in prayer. We invite you to browse through these pages and learn more about this ministry and if you have any questions or would like to join us, we meet at St. Charles' Episcopal Church, St. Charles, IL on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm and on the third Tuesday of each month at 10am.
